Reading: This week in reading, we will also discuss context clues. Context clues are supporting words or phrases in a sentence, that help the reader determine the meaning of an unknown word.
Writing: In writing, we will begin to publish our final copies of our personal narrative. Students are using the editing process to spruce up their work for publishing. Math: In math this week, we will explore word problems. We will discuss part-part-whole, change and deposit boxes, and evaluate number stories using diagrams. A big focus this week will be for students to determine key vocabulary in a word problem (total, sum, difference, fewer, etc.). Social Studies: In social studies, we will discuss and research the impact weather and the environment had on the Wampanoag’s.
